FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ANNOUNCING Sam Glaser's Rockin’ Chanukah Revue
CD RELEASE AND WORLD TOUR

Recording artist Sam Glaser, a leading Los Angeles-based composer and performer of contemporary Jewish music, kicks off his new world tour with the release of Sam Glaser’s Rockin’ Chanukah Revue.

Rockin’ Chanukah Revue is Glaser's first foray into recording parodies. Glaser's smooth baritone nails the lead vocals and the impeccable arrangements for his ten-piece band are true to the originals. Eleven classic rock parodies are offered including Twist and Shout, Highway Star, Great Balls of Fire and Let it Be as well as three Glaser originals. His new tune Chanukah to Remember promises to be a holiday classic. Supported by a kids choir from Harkham Hillel Academy, this clever CD sets new heights for upbeat, family-friendly Jewish music.

Rockin’ Chanukah Revue will be promoted nationwide on TV, print and radio. Jewish Life Television will be airing a one hour Sam Glaser Rockin’ Chanukah Revue TV special on Sunday, December 9th. Half page ads have been placed in Moment and Hadassah Magazines as well as several ads in the local Jewish press. Jewish radio and internet stations will be offering CD giveaways and the largest station in the country, New York’s JM in the AM will be spinning the CD in its entirety during morning drive time. Finally, JMG/Sony Music will be distributing the CD to their broad network of retailers and Judaica shops.

Pianist/Vocalist Glaser will travel to over fifty cities from September 2007 through September of 2008 on the Rockin’ Revue Tour, performing in concert, leading weekend programs and acting as keynote speaker. He will be featured in three concert formats: intimate solo performances, concerts with the Sam Glaser band and spectaculars with a full orchestra. The international tour will also promote Glaser’s first ever hits collection, Inspired: The Best Of Sam Glaser, released in 2006 by JMG/Sony, which commemorates his eighteen years as a recording artist.

“ Some consider Sam Glaser to be the hardest working man in Jewish music today. With over 16 albums under his belt and his annual fifty city concert tour which plays for over 100,000 fans, we think that Sam has earned the title.”
– Jewish Music Group Online

Considered one of the top ten Jewish artists in the U.S. by Moment Magazine, Sam’s soulful music has become part of the fabric of Jewish life in communities worldwide. He performs for the widest array of audiences of any Jewish touring artist; his devoted fans range from those in the Reform and Conservative movements to the Modern Orthodox and Chassidim. While he frequently performs in synagogues and Jewish Community Centers, he has given concerts in such venues as L.A.’s Staples Center, Greek Theater, Universal Amphitheater and Dodger Stadium, New York’s Town Hall and Howlin’ Wolf in New Orleans, and worldwide: from Sydney to London to Hong Kong and Jerusalem. His music has transcended the Jewish airwaves; several Christian stations across the country include his songs in their rotations.

" Sam Glaser is, in my opinion, the most prolific and consistently excellent composer of Jewish music alive. His compositions encourage Jews at all levels of awareness to embrace and celebrate their heritage. The music is delicate, intricate, exuberant, and celebratory."
-Mat Gurman, (Session Guitarist, Beach Boys, Back Street Boys, k.d. lang),

Sam Glaser has long been a fixture on the L.A. music scene. He has served as the Executive Director of the Jewish Music Commission, Producer of the American Jewish Song Festival, Music Coordinator for the University of Judaism, Musical Director of the Yad B'Yad teen theater troupe and Musical Director of the Brandeis-Bardin Collegiate Institute. In addition to his work in the Jewish realm, Glaser has released two award-winning children’s albums, composed five musicals and has published four books of lyrics and poetry. He produces CDs for a variety of recording clients and scores for the Fox, PBS, ESPN and the WB networks in his Glaser Musicworks recording studio.
