Sam Glaser:

His tunes are brimming with the boundless spirit our generation so desperately needs to connect with." Rabbi Shimon Apisdorf (Founder, Jewish Literacy Foundation)

"You touched the hearts and souls of all of us with your realness, passion and honesty. You changed the face of Tidewater, people here are now listening to Jewish music your music. It is in their cars and homes. My children choose to listen to you instead of the Beatles." Karen Lombart (Co-Chair, United Hebrew School, VA)

His compositions encourage Jews at all levels of awareness to embrace and celebrate their heritage. The music is delicate, intricate, exuberant, and celebratory. It nourishes and educates and is some of the most inspiring music I have ever heard." Mat Gurman, (Session Guitarist, Beach Boys, Back Street Boys, k.d. lang)

"To cause someone to get goosebumps, to bring about tears, or to invoke laughter through music is not an easy task. But Sam Glaser has done just that." Jewish Image, Chicago

"Seeing you last night warmed my heart. What a great Chanukah present to see you in concert. I never get tired of watching people enjoy your music...it's great to see them discover how incredible you are. If I could only give you back some small piece of everything that you have given me and so many other people..." Courtney Chrisler, IL (College Student)

"Glaser touches the Jewish soul with his songs, motivating both children and adults to learn more about their heritage and imbuing them with a newfound enthusiasm about their religion." National Jewish News

"Your ability to make teachable moments during your concert and share your insights with your audience, coupled with your incredible musical gift, as well as the love you feel and show for G-d, our religion, your family and the fun you have performing - has been very inspirational for me each of the three times I've seen you perform. Letters From the Road

Dear Marcia,

WOW!
That really sums up the evening in a simple word. Although there was nothing simple about the evening, it was extraordinary, and Sam fits very nicely under that category...Extraordinary. People are still talking, the community has a different outlook on music, some of the younger people that didn't come are regretting it and so sorry that they missed it while the older generation can't remember an evening so wonderful, relaxing and personal. I feel like an adjective machine, but I can't say enough about the day....just WOW all over.
I am now confident more than ever (not that I had any real doubts) that I did the right thing insisting and driving for Sam rather than any of the other musicians/comedians that were suggested, who are all good in their own way, but this was something that I or this community will never forget.

Thanks again,
Barbara Young, Event Coordinator, Greensberg, PA

Dear Sam,

People are still reeling from the inspiring evening of music you presented here is Des Moines. Many described your energy and your talent as "world class" and I would have to agree. I have hosted many artists in many venues in my own career as cantor, but none have inspired me, personally, quite as much as yours did. Your way of reaching the Jewish soul, both through your own beautiful melodies and lyrics and through the well known songs of our people, is truly a gift. It is my hope that you will have the opportunity to share that gift with Reform congregations across the country.
The heartland will never be quite the same. On behalf of our entire community, thank you and may G-d bless you and your family with continued prosperity and success.
Warmest regards,

Cantor Lisa Levine, Temple B'nai Jeshurun, Des Moines, Iowa

Dear Sam,

I have meant to email you ever since I got back from CAJE to thank you again. It was wonderful to hear your music and to have a chance to sing your Od Yishama with you. The Kol Bamidbar CD is always in my car now and it is my daughters request on the way to school to listen to it (especially Keep the Dream Alive.) Whenever I am having a difficult time she tells me to put the CD and it will make me feel better. It's like going to a torah class. It makes me cry , it makes me smile, it makes me dance in my seat, it gives me hope.

Thank you so much for your music and your words.

L'shana Tova.
Helene Kates, Atlanta, GA

Dear Sam,

On behalf of all attendees at NATE, I thank you for crossing the country to entertain us. Your concert was the highlight of our conference. Your music is energizing and uplifting. Watching you with our members and their children gives on insight into the connection you make with people, not just an audience.

I hope to see you perform before too long. In the meantime, I'll settle for you music on tape!

Shalom,

Ann Rubin, RJE National Association Of Temple Educators

Dear Sam,

What can I say? What a blast this weekend was..... I had so much fun. You have got to market this more and get it out to many more schools. I thought you'd enjoy some of these comments which were told to me last night. Feel free to use them..........

"Not only was this a wonderful performance but it was a great educational experience."

"Simply fantastic. Unbelieveable show."

"His music moves your soul."

"You took our breath away."

"Even the kids sitting in the seats were rockin'"

And the best comment ......... "You mean Sam's JEWISH !!? That's so cool ! "

Take care. Hope you make up on your sleep!
