Come with me across the river
Far across the great divide
Come with me across the river
To the other side
Pack up your things and go
To a land that I will show you
For no other reason than to join me on this journey
Into the great unknown
Where mysteries await you
You've got too much to give to live your life alone
Open your heart and soul
And watch the magic happen
There's not a single thing your dreams cannot deliver
I am the pot of gold
That lies beyond your rainbow
I may be far away or right under your nose
It's up to you
Lech l'cha meyartzecha
Lech l'cha mimoladetcha
Lech l'cha mibet avicha
El ha'aretz asher arecha
Go for yourself from your land, from your relatives, and from
your father's house to a land that I will show you.

Prepare yourself to celebrate
The fact that we can congregate another year
Cause now you're in the book of life
It's time to let your worries disappear
Leave behind your heavy heart
Here's the chance for taking part in putting it together
Regardless of the weather
A simple house where we can dwell
Drink some wine and sit a spell
Surrounded by the founders of our land
Oh, East, South, West, North, up and down
When I wave my etrog and my lulav
Nothing's quite the same as spelling out Your name
While stretching out my lulav to the sky
A week that's free from any stress
With so much joy and happiness your mood just keeps improving
Your feet just can't stop movin'
Dancing the whole night away
Then waking at the break of day again
Now somehow when we shake this tree
We're closer to eternity that we could ever guess
We're guaranteed success
So save a shekel everyday
It feels so good when you can say
The whole wide world is sitting in my hand
L'shana haba'a biy'rushalayim
It seems a bit bizarre that we sleep under the
stars
But we're guarded by the biggest guy in town
The lulav and the etrog make up the four species
that we wave on the holiday of Succot
A shekel is the biblical and modern currency of Israel
Next year in Jerusalem

It is to You I deliver my troubles
It is to You that I cry
Sh'ma Hashem v'chanayni
Hashem heyay ozayr li
Filling the space at the end of the rope
Patient and ever aware
Just at the point where I'm giving up hope
I open my heart and You're there
Watching so proudly each step that I'm taking
Forever right by my side
It is to You, G-d, that I call; it is to G-d that I appeal. Listen, G-d and be good to me; G-d, be my helper

In the city of gold
I left a little prayer
Pressed inside Your wall of stone
And I pledged my heart
To carry out Your will
If You'd only make it known
Patiently You waited until I could hear the tune
Ki mitziyon tetzey Torah
Ud'var Hashem miYerushalayim
Ki mitziyon tetzey Torah
Ud'var Hashem miYerushalayim
When the desert night
Sweeps the seven gates
And the stars light up the sky
I can hear Your voice
Carried on the wind
If I stop to hear the cry
From Jerusalem Your inspiration feeds a hungry world
In the city of gold this perfect stranger finally feels at home
For from Zion shall the Torah come forth and the
word of Hashem form Jerusalem

5.Throwin' Me a Lifeline
Composed by Sam Glaser

www.samglaser.com
Well You sent me on a journey through this world
To see what I might learn along the way
And You sent me down some darkened roads
To see if I could find the light of day
You kept Yourself from view
To see what conclusions
That a drowning person just might come to
Oh Lord, You're throwin' me a lifeline
Oh Lord, You're throwin' me a lifeline
Just when I was goin' under
And I thought I had no hope
You held out Your hand
Well You sent me all the riches in this world
To see how I might spend 'em on the way
And You sent me folks in desperate need
Whom I wouldn't give the time of day
You kept Yourself from view
To check on the memory
Of someone who thought they didn't need You

And when we pray
We set our sights to face her walls of golden stone
The words we say
Reflect a love that grows each time
We're whispering her ancient name
Yisrael shelanu l'olam
L'olam nafsheynu b'tocha
Yisrael, tikvat libenu hi itah
Two thousand years
Without a piece of land that we could call our own
We never feared
Secure within the promise of a distant day that we'd come home
Sing with the children
In the streets of Jerusalem
Dance in the gardens
Of the hills of Galilee
Like the mighty river Jordan
Her waters fill each crevice of my heart
Israel, ours forever, forever in our souls, Israel, the hope of our hearts dwells within her
7.Mi Chamocha

From the land of Pharoah
We were set apart
Marching through the desert
One people, one heart
The Eastern Wind split the sea
Then covered up our enemy
All the children of Yisrael
Started to rejoice
All the children of Yisrael
Singing with one voice
Mi chamocha ba'eylim Hashem
Mi kamocha n'edar bakodesh
Mi chamocha ba'eylim Hashem
Mi kamocha n'edar bakodesh
V'rau vanav g'vurato
Shib'chu v'hodu lishmo
Umalchuto v'ratzon
Kiblu aleychem
Moshe uv'ney Yisrael
L'cha anu shira
B'simcha raba v'amru kulam
When his children perceived his power they lauded and gave grateful
praise to His Name. And His Kingship they accepted upon themselves willingly.
Moses and the Children of Israel raised their voices to You in song with abundant
gladness and said unanimously: Who is like You among the heavenly powers, Hashem.
Who is like you, mighty in holiness.

8.One Hand, One Heart
Composed by Sam Glaser

Sometimes you need a friend to share the sadness
Sometimes it seems that no one understands
All the lies cannot disguise the rage and anger building up
So tired you feel like giving up
From out of the depths you reach for a helping hand
When there's pain we all cry
When there's death we all die inside
With one hand and one heart we reach for You
Sometimes a light can only shine in darkness
Sometimes the darkness never seems to end
How many lifetimes snatched away
Before we see the break of day
With all our hearts we try to understand
One is the heart that beats within my people
One is the reason why
Ten thousand miles between me and my brothers
Reading yesterday's news
And another voice inside me dies
Mi ma'amakim k'raticha Ka
Keyli shema koli, shema techanu nai
Keyli shema koli, shema techanu nai
Keyli, Keyli
Give us peace in our time
With your light we all shine inside
With one hand and one heart we reach for You
Out of the depths I call to You Hashem, My G-d, listen to my
voice, hear my pleas

9.We Light the Lights
Composed by Sam Glaser
©1997 Glaser Musicworks
www.samglaser.com
On eight winter nights we light
The lights on the menorah
Together with millions of our people everywhere
In spite of the darkness we light
The lights on the menorah
Knowing the dark doesn't hold a candle to our prayers
We light the lights
Warming up the whole wide world all over
We light and we heal each broken heart
We light tonight
Singing out our favorite songs together
And for a moment we see
We're not so far apart
There have been times of danger
When we couldn't learn our Torah
When they tried to make our spirit disappear
So eight nights a year we light
The lights on the menorah
Showing the promise of our Torah perseveres
And for a moment hope is not so far away
As long as we light we're getting closer everyday
We can be sure the flame will never disappear
Because we will light again this very time next year
Judah Macabee showed us why
The source of our flame will never die
In spite of the odds we're making it clear
A great miracle's happening here
Like a flask of oil forever burning
Around the world we'll never stop learning
We've taken our punches and stood our ground
There ain't no way of slowin' us down
10.Song for Shlomo
Composed by Sam Glaser

www.samglaser.com
Are you listening
If you can hear me now
I want to thank you for the chance
To sing a couple songs together
Are you listening
Can I tell you how you made this dark and lonely place
Seem a little sweeter than before you came to share the view
That only you could see
And I will not give up hope
Cause I know that hope is always there
And I will not hold back my love
You showed me that love is everywhere
I just think about the times we had
Are you listening
Now that you're gone
I gotta wonder who can take your place
To remind us why we're singing
Are you listening
Ten thousand arms cannot embrace me
Like a single kiss
The love that you we're giving
Seemed to know no earthly bounds
You always found the words to say
You helped me learn to cry
You told me that I was beautiful
You showed me a paradise
Hiding within every soul
I just think about the times we had
And my troubles don't seem quite so bad
We're so lucky to have loved you
11.The Ladder
Composed by Sam Glaser
©1997 Glaser Musicworks
www.samglaser.com
Up in the morning, start my routine
Say the words I always say
I try to remember the feeling I had
When I realized one day
If our souls are eternal then Avraham
Could be praying right beside me
Who with all of the ancestors I never knew
Keep reminding me I'm not alone
All my grandmother's grandfathers smiling inside
As their merit patiently guides me
Stretching to the beginning of time
On a ladder uniquely my own
Let me celebrate each new day
As if it were my first
Always allow me to praise Your Name
But not like a script I've rehearsed
I'm on a ladder that reaches the stars
I'm on a ladder and climbing
I'm on a ladder that's bringing me close to You
I'm on a ladder that reaches the stars
Working my way to the next step
I'm on a ladder that's bringing me close to You
If our souls are eternal than David the king
Could be playing his harp beside me
Who with Sarah and Rivkah and Leah and Rachel
Are making my house a home
All my grandmother's grandfathers singing along
As they have since they were children
Stretching to the beginning of time
On a ladder uniquely my own

Enter in peace, O crown of her husband, even in gladness and good cheer,
Among the faithful of the treasured nation, enter, O bride.

May G-d watch over your soul
Guiding every step along your way
May you hold deep in your heart
The love G-d is giving you everyday
May the light of heaven above
Reflect in your eyes
So you see all the wonder in the world
Y'varechecha Hashem v'yishm'recha

Yisa Hashem panav eylecha
V'yaseym l'cha shalom
May you live all the days of your life
Secure in the arms of the One above
May G-d look upon you with favor
Granting you whatever you're dreaming of
May mountains offer a path
When you stroll along
Fill the valleys so you can cross with ease
Shalom, shalom, shalom
May Hashem bless you and safeguard you, may Hashem illuminate
his countenance to you and be gracious to you, may Hashem turn His countenance
to you and establish peace for you.

In your arms I'll never be alone
How precious is your kindness, O G-d. The sons of man take refuge
in the shadows of your wings. May they be sated from the abundance of your house,
and may You give them drink from the stream of Your delights. For with You is
the source of life, by your light shall we see the light. Extend Your kindness

Whatever has been is what will be, and whatever has been done
is what will be done. Who can possibly know what is good for man in life during
the short span of his futile existence. The sum of the matter, when all has
been considered: fear G-d and keep His commandments, for that is man's whole
duty.
